We’re working with a fantastic specialist school in South Tyneside that supports children with a wide range of additional needs. They’re seeking a confident and proactive HLTA to join their team this September, someone ready to lead small groups, cover lessons, and bring creativity to the classroom.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering lessons and interventions planned by the teacher

  • Leading small groups and covering classes where needed

  • Supporting children with SEND to achieve their personal and academic goals

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to provide consistent care

What we’re looking for:

  • HLTA status or significant TA experience with the ability to lead learning

  • Experience working with children with SEND (autism, SEMH, or complex needs desirable)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
