The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEND), you’ll play a key role in creating a calm, nurturing, and structured environment where pupils with complex needs can thrive. You’ll be supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with class teachers and the SEN team to:

Lead small group interventions and one-to-one support sessions

Adapt resources and activities to meet diverse learning needs

Support with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation strategies

Foster independence and confidence in pupils

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to provide joined-up support
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:

Have experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD or other complex needs

Can build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
-
Bring patience, empathy, and a good sense of humour to the classroom

Are confident leading learning activities in the absence of the teacher

Hold (or are working towards) HLTA status or equivalent experience
