Are you an experienced HLTA looking for flexibility and variety in your working week?

We’re working with a range of friendly primary schools across Wakefield who are looking for confident, adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistants to provide supply cover. Whether you’re available one day a week or five, we’ll match you with schools that fit your schedule and style.

Your role will include:

  • ‍ Delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils across KS1 and KS2

  • Assisting teachers with classroom routines, resource preparation, and pupil support

  • Using your HLTA experience to bring confidence and continuity to the classroom

What we’re looking for:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience working across primary year groups

  • Strong behaviour management and adaptability

  • A proactive, positive approach to supporting pupils and teachers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
