Protocol Education is on the lookout for fantastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our daily supply team, supporting brilliant schools across Harlow. Every day is different, and no two classrooms are the same—perfect if you thrive on variety and love a new challenge!

Whether you're stepping in to lead a lesson, working with small groups, or lending your expertise to teachers and pupils alike, you’ll play a vital part in keeping learning on track—and making a real difference.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Taking the reins when teachers are away—delivering prepared lessons and keeping students engaged.

  • Supporting pupils one-on-one or in small groups to help them shine.

  • Working alongside teachers to plan and prepare top-notch learning experiences.

  • Managing classroom behavior like a pro, always with a calm and friendly manner.

  • Adapting quickly to new schools and building great relationships with staff and students.

  • Bringing energy, flexibility, and a smile to every assignment!

We’re Looking For:

  • A fully qualified HLTA (or equivalent)—you know your stuff!

  • Experience in UK schools and confident across different year groups.

  • Someone with fantastic classroom management skills and a can-do attitude.

  • Reliability and flexibility—you’re happy to jump in wherever you’re needed.

  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or happy to apply).

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
