Protocol Education is supporting a number of well-regarded primary schools in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, in recruiting confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for flexible, supply-based work.

About the Role:

Cover whole-class lessons in the absence of a teacher using pre-prepared plans
-
Deliver small group interventions and targeted catch-up sessions

Support class teachers with daily learning activities and pupil progress

Help maintain positive behaviour and engagement across the classroom

Assist with feedback and support other teaching assistants where required
What We’re Looking For:

A recognised HLTA qualification
-
Prior classroom experience, ideally leading groups or covering classes
-
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-
A flexible, proactive attitude with a willingness to adapt

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Pay: £90 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
