Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Horley

£105–£115 per day | Paid weekly via PAYE | Long-term role

We are a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Horley looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a long-term basis.

This role is perfect for someone confident in leading learning, supporting whole-class teaching when needed, and working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education for our pupils.

The role:

  • Leading small groups and supporting pupils to achieve their best

  • Covering classes when teachers are absent or in training

  • Supporting planning, preparation, and assessment alongside teaching staff

  • Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils

Pay: £105–£115 per day (depending on experience)
Start: Immediate, long-term placement

We’re looking for someone with energy, initiative, and the ability to engage and inspire pupils. Previous HLTA experience is desirable, and a calm, flexible approach is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
