Protocol Education are looking for an enthusiastic andcaring Higher Level Teaching assistant who has experience of working with children who have Special Educational Needs. This position is in one of our supportive and friendly Primary Schools in the … area to inspire, engage and support pupils in their learning journey. The successful candidate will work alongside the class Teacher to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment, where every child feels valued and motivated.
The role involves:
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum to work closely with the class teacher in delivering lessons to meet the individual needs of the pupils.
- supporting students with special educational needs, including implementing individual education plans and working closely with other professionals to provide appropriate support.
- In some cases, to cover and lead classes under the direction of the class teacher, which will involve planning and delivering lessons, managing behaviour and assessing student progress.
- Working collaboratively to build strong relationships with pupils, parents / carers and colleagues.
- Contribute to personal development through involvement in extra-curricular activities and events, including meetings and whole school training events.
What is required for this job:
- Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Teacher Status
- Experience working with children in a Primary School setting
- A CV providing education/employment history including any gaps from working.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and have the legal right to work in the UK.
