Our client, a successful and ambitious school within a leading multi-academy trust, is looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants (Tutor Fellows) to join their team from September 2025. This is a unique opportunity to build your teaching experience, mentor pupils, and receive exceptional professional development.
About the Role:

Provide small group and one-to-one tutoring, ensuring pupils make excellent progress in reading and maths.

Mentor pupils to build confidence, raise aspirations, and prepare them for future university and career success.

Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) both inside and outside the classroom.

Co-teach lessons alongside experienced teachers, gradually taking on more independence and responsibility.

Step in to lead lessons when required, using plans and resources provided by teaching staff.

Take part in wider school life, including after-school clubs, trips, and residential activities.

Engage in high-quality professional development to prepare for Initial Teacher Training.
What We’re Looking For:

A degree in any subject, plus strong GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade B/6 or above).

Experience working with young people in a paid or voluntary setting.

Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

A strong commitment to education, with the ambition to train as a teacher in the near future.

Resilience, enthusiasm, and the ability to be a positive role model.
Benefits:

Salary: £28,143 (pro-rata £26,056), Ark support staff pay scale.

Hours: 8.00am–4.30pm (term-time only, 39 weeks per year).

Fixed-term contract until August 2026.
