These roles will give you direct experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, behavioural challenges, and learning barriers. You will support students on a one-to-one basis or within small groups, helping them to engage in lessons, build confidence, regulate their emotions, and achieve their personal goals. This practical, school-based experience is invaluable for those planning to pursue further study or Educational Psychology training.

Schools are located across Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, South Shields, North Shields, Sunderland, Washington, Hebburn, Jarrow, Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, Wallsend, Boldon, Houghton-le-Spring, Blaydon, Ryton, and Birtley. Each school offers a unique environment, from large urban academies with highly diverse student populations to smaller schools with strong community values and specialist SEND provisions.

We are looking for graduates with a genuine interest in supporting young people, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a calm, empathetic approach to working with children with additional needs. You must be available Monday to Friday during school hours.

Working with Protocol Education, you will benefit from personal consultant support, access to free CPD courses to build your skills and knowledge, and competitive weekly pay.

If you are serious about a career in Educational Psychology and want to build the essential experience that universities and training providers are seeking, apply today to begin your journey with Protocol Education.
