So, you’re curious about teaching—but not quite ready to dive in full-time? No problem. Starting out as a Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or SEN Support Assistant is a brilliant way to test the waters.
These flexible, school-based roles give you real classroom experience, help you build your CV, and offer the chance to see what life in education is really like. And you won’t be thrown in the deep end—we’ll support you every step of the way.
What You’ll Be Doing:
We work with schools across the region to place graduates into a variety of roles that could include:

Supporting learning as a Teaching Assistant in EYFS, KS1, KS2, or secondary classrooms

Stepping up as a Cover Supervisor, leading lessons when teachers are absent

Providing 1:1 or small group support as a SEN or Behaviour Mentor

Helping to plan activities, prep resources, or lead enrichment sessions (think sport, music, or drama)
You’ll be part of a supportive school team and get the chance to see what teaching is really like—before deciding if it’s your future career path.
Who We're Looking For:
No teaching experience? That’s completely fine. We’re looking for:
✔️ A degree in any subject
✔️ Strong communication and people skills
✔️ A positive, proactive attitude
✔️ A genuine passion for working with children or young people
✔️ A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply—we’ll guide you)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
