What if you could be the reason a young person turns their life around?

Job Title: Graduate Behaviour Learning Support Assistant
Location: Northumberland
Salary: £85–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

We’re looking for a Graduate Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Northumberland, supporting young people who deserve more than just a seat in the classroom—they deserve someone who listens, who understands, and who doesn’t give up.

Our school works with children who face significant social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Many have experienced more disruption and difficulty than most adults ever will. Your role is to be the person who helps them trust again, to believe that learning is for them, and that they deserve a bright future.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing tailored one-to-one support for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

  • Being a calm, steady presence, helping pupils navigate emotional challenges

  • Working alongside teachers, families, and other professionals to develop individual behaviour plans

  • Encouraging and celebrating progress—big or small

  • Helping pupils develop self-confidence, emotional resilience, and positive routines

The kind of person we’re looking for:
We want someone who brings our values to life every day. Someone who:

  • Believes in aspiration, encouraging every child to strive for their potential

  • Acts with integrity, always doing the right thing for young people

  • Shows kindness, understanding that empathy is as important as structure

  • Builds resilience, both in themselves and in the children they support

You might be a recent graduate in education, psychology, or a related field—but what really matters is your ability to build trust, stay calm in tough moments, and support children who need someone on their side.
