Protocol Education is assisting a secondary school in West London to recruit an inspiring and committed Geography Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality Geography lessons, inspire student curiosity, and contribute to both the academic and extracurricular life of the school. The successful candidate will play a central role in developing students’ knowledge, skills, and understanding of Geography, while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.


About the Role:

  • Plan, resource, and deliver engaging Geography lessons that challenge and motivate students

  • Set high expectations to ensure all students make exceptional progress

  • Create a positive and orderly climate for learning, applying behaviour systems consistently and fairly

  • Nurture intellectual curiosity by asking thought-provoking questions and addressing misconceptions

  • Provide feedback that helps students improve and achieve their full potential

  • Contribute to curriculum planning, assessments, and preparation for national examinations

  • Lead enrichment activities, trips, and other department initiatives to enhance student learning

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice, participate in CPD, and improve teaching across the school

  • Promote safeguarding, student welfare, and high standards across the school


Role Details:

  • Location: West London

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent

  • Start Date: ASAP or negotiable for the right candidate

  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications


What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree-level qualification (preferably in Geography or a closely related discipline)

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligibility to work in the UK

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography

  • Excellent understanding of teaching pedagogy, assessment, and curriculum design

  • Experience raising attainment and improving student progress in challenging environments

  • Ability to lead enrichment activities and contribute to wider school life

  • Effective behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

  • A reflective practitioner, open to feedback and committed to professional growth

  • Genuine belief in the potential of every student and commitment to inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
