Secondary Geography Teacher – Newcastle – September 2025 Start

Inspire a global perspective and deepen students’ understanding of the world in a welcoming and forward-thinking Newcastle secondary school.

The Role:

A popular and inclusive secondary school in Newcastle is seeking a Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a long-term role, teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities for A-Level delivery for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will deliver engaging and knowledge-rich lessons that connect students with the physical and human landscapes that shape our world. You’ll join a highly supportive department with shared planning and access to excellent teaching resources and technology.

About the School:

This school is known for its commitment to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and inclusive teaching. Located in a community-focused part of Newcastle, it offers a modern learning environment, strong leadership, and a staff culture rooted in collaboration and high expectations.

The Humanities faculty is a strength of the school, with a strong uptake at GCSE and A-Level. Fieldwork is valued and well supported, and the team shares a belief in delivering geography as a subject that connects knowledge with real-world challenges.

The school provides regular CPD, encourages reflective practice, and has a robust programme to support early career teachers, as well as opportunities for progression for experienced staff.
