Generalist Teacher – SEMH

Protocol Education is seeking a committed and flexible Generalist Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Thurrock. This is a fantastic opportunity to work long-term or permanently within a supportive, therapeutic setting that focuses on helping students thrive both emotionally and academically.
About the Role:
You will be teaching a broad curriculum to students with SEMH needs, many of whom may also have additional learning difficulties or behavioural challenges. The emphasis is on building positive relationships, fostering emotional regulation, and re-engaging students with learning in a safe and nurturing environment.
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or Instructor status

A strong understanding or interest in SEMH and trauma-informed practice

A resilient, calm, and adaptable approach to teaching

Confidence in managing behaviour positively and effectively

Ability to plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons across multiple subjects

A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
