Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Humanities subjects
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and resources
  • Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialisation in Humanities subjects

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Humanities subjects

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3 and 4 students

Working Conditions:

Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend commitments for school events. Classroom-based teaching with opportunities for extracurricular involvement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
