About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Shropshire, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will play a vital role in helping pupils access a rich, engaging curriculum tailored to their individual needs. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you’ll support children to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN to aid their learning and development

Assist in delivering personalised learning plans tailored to individual needs

Support pupils in building confidence, communication skills, and independence

Help manage behaviour positively and inclusively

Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
-
Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or communication challenges is highly desirable

A calm, patient, and empathetic nature

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
