The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. In this role, you will provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCo to support the educational and emotional development of students.
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Provide support both in and out of the classroom, including during lessons, playtimes, and school trips.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment.

About You:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with additional or special educational needs.
  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate (this is desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
