Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to join a dedicated team based in a Middlesbrough school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics lessons and supporting students in their academic progress. This is a full-time, long-term position with working hours from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students.
  • Evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations, providing individualised support as needed.
  • Create a positive learning environment in the classroom, promoting student engagement and academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students' academic progress.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and educational policies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education (PGCE).
  • Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Strong organisational skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The teacher will be expected to work full-time hours during term time, with additional responsibilities such as parent-teacher meetings and extracurricular activities.
