Experienced Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – Horley

Location: Horley, Surrey
Pay: £90–£100 per day (PAYE – no umbrella deductions)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (potential to go permanent)

Are you passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential? A welcoming school in Horley is looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team. You’ll play a key role in helping pupils with special educational needs (SEN) thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Experienced Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – The Role

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to deliver personalised learning programmes
  • Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment
  • Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet individual pupil needs
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

Experienced Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – Criteria

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience as a Learning Support Assistant, SEN TA, or Teaching Assistant
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs in a school setting
  • A patient, encouraging, and reliable approach
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 TA) are a bonus, but not essential
