Just finished uni and not quite sure what’s next? If you’re curious about a career in education, becoming a Teaching Assistant is a brilliant way to test the waters, gain hands-on classroom experience, and build a CV full of transferable skills.
We work with primary schools across South Yorkshire looking for enthusiastic, people-focused grads to support their pupils—academically, emotionally, and socially. Think of it as the first step into something bigger.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
Helping deliver engaging lessons and classroom activities
Getting stuck into planning and resource prep
Giving feedback to teachers (and sometimes parents)
Aiding children with SEND and helping boost confidence and routine
Taking part in extracurriculars—from clubs to revision sessions
