A leading specialist school in Northumberland is looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. This role is ideal for anyone starting out in education or support work who’s driven by kindness, patience, and a real passion for helping children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting children with SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions and behaviour

  • Creating a safe, respectful, and empowering learning environment

  • Encouraging positive interactions, empathy, and responsibility

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to provide tailored support

  • Helping pupils build confidence, motivation, and readiness for life beyond school
