We’re working with a dynamic, well-structured secondary school in Chesterfield that’s looking for an English Teacher to join their team this September and work there through to the following summer. With a strong focus on routines, high standards, and student achievement, this is the kind of setting where your teaching can really make an impact.

You’ll be part of a dedicated English department that values collaboration, literacy across the curriculum, and consistent behaviour expectations—so you can spend less time managing and more time teaching.


What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Supporting students through their GCSE journey

  • Using school-wide systems to maintain high expectations

  • Working with colleagues to develop shared resources and strategies


What we’re looking for:

  • UK QTS (or equivalent) and recent classroom experience

  • Confident subject knowledge across English Literature and Language

  • A strong classroom presence and positive behaviour management

  • Someone who values teamwork and isn’t afraid to try something new
