English Teacher

Location: Doncaster

Salary: £180 - 240 per day + PAYE

Looking for a classroom that respects your time, values your experience, and lets you teach without the clipboard micromanagement?

This secondary school in Doncaster is after a brilliant English teacher to lead learning with flair, passion, and the kind of humour that gets even Year 10 talking about Shakespeare. You’ll be joining a stable, well-led department that loves a collaborative planning session as much as a well-placed metaphor.

What’s in the role?

  • Teaching KS3 & KS4 English to motivated (and occasionally moody) minds

  • Opportunities for curriculum development or pastoral involvement

  • Weekly department meetings that actually get things done

  • SLT support that feels like… support

What we’re looking for:

  • UK QTS and a track record of great teaching

  • Someone who knows their ‘Macbeth’ from their Marvell and can bring texts to life

  • Calm, confident presence with the odd meme-worthy lesson

Protocol Perks:

  • Weekly PAYE pay—no umbrella faff

  • Dedicated consultant who texts back (even before coffee)

  • FREE CPD including Thrive training (boost your toolkit!)
