Our client, a forward-thinking secondary school within a respected academy trust, is seeking a committed English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. About the Role:

Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons that inspire students across all key stages.

Set high expectations for achievement and progress, ensuring all pupils are motivated and supported to reach their potential.

Plan and teach well-structured lessons that embed knowledge, develop skills, and address misconceptions.

Nurture intellectual curiosity by asking thoughtful questions and encouraging analytical thinking.

Provide constructive feedback that helps students make measurable progress.

Contribute to collaborative curriculum planning, assessment design, and exam preparation.

Play an active role in enrichment activities such as clubs, trips, competitions, and whole-school events.

Share best practice within the department and actively participate in CPD and trust-wide collaboration.
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligibility to work in the UK.

A degree in English or a closely related discipline.

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English literature and language.

Evidence of excellent teaching practice and a commitment to raising attainment.

Experience of supporting students through curriculum and examination preparation.

Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

A reflective, proactive approach to professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
