English Teacher – Leeds
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Start Date: March 2025
Pay: £160–£225 per day (PAYE, depending on experience)
Contract: Long-term (with potential to go permanent)

We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Leeds that’s on the lookout for a talented and passionate English Teacher to join their team. It’s a long-term role starting in March, and if it’s a great fit, there’s potential to go permanent.
✏️ What the Role Involves:

Deliver engaging, inclusive English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and maybe 5 if you’re up for it!)

Plan creative and curriculum-aligned content that builds skills and confidence

Track student progress and provide supportive, constructive feedback

Build a classroom culture where every voice is heard—and encouraged

Collaborate with a friendly department and wider school staff

Get stuck into enrichment and school-wide events (World Book Day dress-up optional but encouraged)
We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Holds QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)

Has a degree in English or a closely related subject
-
Knows their stuff when it comes to the English curriculum
-
Brings bags of energy, empathy, and classroom presence

Is confident teaching across a range of abilities
-
Understands the importance of inclusive, student-centred learning
