We’re working with a brilliant secondary school in Darlington that’s on the lookout for an English Teacher who knows their Shakespeare from their Steinbeck—and can make both feel exciting to learn. You’ll be stepping into a well-resourced department with supportive leadership and students who respond well to structure, energy, and a bit of flair.
The role runs from October through to April, offering stability, continuity, and a chance to make a real impact in the classroom.

What we’re looking for:

A qualified English Teacher with QTS or equivalent

Experience across KS3 and KS4

Someone who can bring energy, empathy, and great ideas to their lessons

Confident classroom management and a love of literature
