Educational Healthcare Assistant

Pay: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
A supportive and inclusive specialist provision in Enfield is seeking a full-time Educational Healthcare Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a setting that prioritises the holistic development and wellbeing of children and young people with complex needs.
The school supports pupils with a wide range of learning profiles, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). As part of a highly skilled and compassionate team, you will provide both educational and healthcare-related support in accordance with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering personal care including toileting, feeding, hygiene, and dressing in a respectful and dignified manner

Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development in one-to-one or small group settings

Implementing bespoke intervention programmes focused on wellbeing, emotional regulation, and life skills

Working in partnership with the SENCO, teaching staff, and leadership team to deliver consistent, targeted support

Assisting with reintegration following absences and encouraging positive attendance and punctuality

Maintaining a calm, structured environment that encourages independence and self-confidence
Requirements:

Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service

Right to work in the UK

A genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with additional needs

Experience in care, education, or health support roles is highly valued

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
