So, you’ve wrapped your PGCE. Now what?
You’ve conquered the essays, survived the placement nerves, and nailed that final observation. Gold star for you.
Now it’s time to find the classroom that feels like yours—where you can build confidence, get proper support, and maybe even snag the good chair in the staffroom.
Whether you want to test the waters with a few schools or dive into a longer-term gig, we’ve got options (and advice) ready to go.
Why supply is secretly genius for ECTs
Loads of Early Career Teachers start off in supply. Here’s why:
✅ You get to try out different schools
✅ You build confidence (fast)
✅ You find out what you like—and don’t like
✅ Schools often say: “Fancy staying?”
It’s like dating, but for teaching jobs—and with better coffee. ☕
