Design and Technology Teacher – Bring Ideas to Life in Leeds

Pay: £700–£1,425 per week (PAYE)

Got a knack for turning creativity into capability? Whether it’s CAD, circuits, or crafting the perfect lesson, we’re looking for a Design and Technology Teacher who can make design concepts click and spark big ‘aha!’ moments.
This school in Leeds is ready to welcome an innovative D&T teacher who knows how to get students hands-on, switched-on, and thinking like real designers. Full-time or part-time—we’re flexible if you are.
What You’ll Be Doing:
️ Deliver inspiring D&T lessons that get students designing, building, and thinking critically
Plan engaging, practical lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Track student progress and help them aim higher with targeted feedback
Collaborate with a brilliant teaching team to refine the D&T curriculum
⚽ Option to support extracurricular activities (sports, clubs, or competitions? Even better!)
Keep accurate records and ensure a safe learning space that’s inclusive for everyone
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in a relevant Design, Engineering, or Technology field
Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3–KS4; KS5 a bonus)
Top-notch communication and classroom management skills
Organised, adaptable, and creative with your approach
Bonus points for:

Experience organising school events or STEM competitions
