Are you a creative and hands-on Design Technology Teacher with a passion for innovation and problem-solving? Protocol Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Darlington to find a dynamic DT teacher ready to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and makers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department and deliver engaging, practical lessons that challenge and excite students across a range of DT disciplines.
The Role:
Deliver DT lessons across KS3 and KS4—specialisms in Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Graphics are welcome.
Plan and deliver creative, practical sessions that bring design to life.
Encourage critical thinking, innovation, and hands-on learning.
Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support achievement.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards in teaching and learning.
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
✔️ Specialism or experience in Design & Technology.
✔️ A strong understanding of health & safety in workshop settings.
✔️ Enthusiastic, organised, and committed to student progress.
✔️ Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
