Protocol Education is supporting a secondary school in Birmingham that is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Middle Leader for KS4 English. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school rated Good by Ofsted and now striving for Outstanding, with a passionate and supportive staff team.

The successful candidate will lead the Key Stage 4 English curriculum, shaping teaching strategies, driving progress, and inspiring a love of English across the department. This role combines teaching with leadership responsibilities, offering the chance to make a significant impact on student outcomes while developing your career towards Head of Department.

What You’ll Need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligibility to teach in the UK

  • Strong subject knowledge and proven success in teaching English at Key Stage 4

  • Experience in curriculum planning, monitoring student progress, and raising attainment

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and support colleagues
