Job Duties

  • Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering creative and engaging lessons
  • Assisting students with their learning activities and providing one-on-one support when needed
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Preparing and organising educational materials and resources
  • Supervising students during activities and break times

Required Qualifications

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English

Education

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience

Prior experience working in a classroom setting

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications

First Aid certification

Working Conditions

This role involves working within a school setting, following term-time schedules and routines. The candidate may need to assist with extracurricular activities and occasional school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
