Overview:
Protocol Education is seeking confident, proactive, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Telford. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about education and classroom leadership without the pressure of planning or marking.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining classroom continuity during teacher absences by delivering pre-set lessons and ensuring a calm, engaging learning environment. You will work across Key Stages 3 and 4, gaining valuable experience and making a genuine difference in young learners’ education.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes in the teacher’s absence
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and in line with school policies
  • Supporting students with varying educational needs to access learning
  • Encouraging a positive and respectful classroom culture
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders to ensure smooth lesson delivery

What We’re Looking For:

  • UK right to work (e.g., British Passport or BRP + Share Code)
  • Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
  • Experience working with young people (in schools, youth groups, mentoring, or similar)
  • Confidence in behaviour management and classroom control
  • A flexible, professional approach with a strong presence in the classroom

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Education-related qualifications or training (e.g., behaviour management, TA training)
  • Prior experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
