We’re on the lookout for confident, reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Chesterfield. Whether you're a future trainee teacher, an experienced supervisor, or someone who knows how to lead a room—we want to hear from you.

This role is all about keeping things running smoothly when teachers are away. You’ll be delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing the classroom, and helping students stay on track. No planning, no marking—just real experience that makes a real difference.


What you'll be doing:

  • Supervising lessons across a range of subjects (no specialist knowledge needed)

  • Supporting student engagement and behaviour in line with school policies

  • Feeding back to teaching staff about how the day went

  • Being a friendly, steady presence in the classroom


Who we’re looking for:

  • Confident communicators with strong presence and a calm approach

  • People with experience working with young people (e.g. youth work, sports coaching, teaching assistant work)

  • Aspiring teachers or recent graduates welcome

  • Must have a good sense of humour and a strong sense of responsibility

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
