Cover Supervisor – Full Time – Shrewsbury
Protocol Education is working with a vibrant secondary school in Shrewsbury to recruit a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor. This full-time role is ideal for someone with classroom experience who enjoys working across a range of subjects and year groups.
The school is a large, inclusive setting with a strong reputation for pastoral care and pupil development. Staff are well supported, and the school offers a structured environment where expectations are clear and behaviour is well managed.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into lessons where the work has been set and support students in staying on track with their learning. You’ll play an important role in maintaining continuity in the classroom and ensuring a calm, focused environment for all learners.
This role includes:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

Supervising pupils in the absence of teaching staff

Supporting student engagement and behaviour in line with school policies

Providing feedback to teaching staff following cover lessons

Working closely with departments to ensure consistent classroom routines
We are looking for someone who:

Has prior experience in a secondary school or similar educational setting

Is confident managing groups of students independently
-
Can follow lesson plans and support a positive learning atmosphere

Is flexible, proactive, and a strong communicator
-
Holds a degree or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
