We’re on the lookout for calm, capable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Barnsley. You’ll step into lessons with ready-made plans and help pupils stay focused and engaged.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering pre-set work to classes across a range of subjects

  • Managing classroom behaviour and keeping learning on track

  • Supporting students in line with school policies

  • Acting as a key presence when teachers are absent

You’ll need to be:

  • Confident in managing a classroom (no QTS required)

  • Adaptable, proactive, and professional

  • Reliable and great with people – students and staff alike

  • Ideally experienced in schools, youth work, coaching, or similar settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
