We’re working with a brilliant secondary school in Telford that’s looking for a calm, confident Cover Supervisor to keep lessons ticking along when teachers are away. If you’re great with young people and thrive on the buzz of a school day, this could be your perfect fit.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
-
Leading pre-set lessons across different subjects (no planning needed!)
-
Keeping students engaged, focused, and learning
-
Handling classroom behaviour with a calm and consistent approach
-
Pitching in across the school day to support staff and pupils wherever needed
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience working with young people (inside or outside school)
-
Someone who’s a natural at building rapport and setting clear expectations
-
Strong communicator—both in writing and face-to-face
-
Organised, proactive, and unflappable (even when the bell’s gone and the whiteboard won’t work)
-
A genuine desire to make a positive difference in students’ school lives
This could be a great step if you’ve worked as a youth worker, sports coach, TA—or if you’re thinking about teaching and want a real feel for the classroom first.
About the school
You’ll be joining a secondary school where community matters. Staff look out for each other, wellbeing is a priority, and the curriculum is ambitious without losing sight of the human side. It’s a setting where every pupil is encouraged to be confident, curious, and kind.
