Fancy leading a classroom without the pressure of planning? We’re on the lookout for confident, proactive Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Telford.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step in when teachers are away—keeping things on track, managing behaviour, and delivering pre-set lessons with confidence and calm. If you’ve got experience with young people, a professional presence, and a knack for holding a room, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising KS3 and KS4 lessons in the teacher’s absence

  • Managing classroom behaviour with consistency and care

  • Supporting students with additional needs to feel included and engaged

  • Building positive relationships with students and school staff

  • Keeping learning on track—no planning required

What we’re looking for:

  • UK right to work (British Passport or BRP + Share Code)

  • Overseas Police Check (if applicable)

  • Some experience in schools or working with young people

  • Behaviour management confidence

  • A flexible, can-do attitude

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or behaviour management

You’ll need to be able to travel around Telford—own transport or good public links are ideal. All lesson plans are provided, and you’ll be following the National Curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
