Cover Supervisor – Long-Term Role – Wakefield

Wakefield | Full-time | ️ September start or ASAP | £95–£120/day (depending on experience)

We’re supporting a secondary school in Wakefield with a long-term Cover Supervisor position, starting in September (or earlier if you’re ready). This isn’t day-to-day supply—it’s a consistent role in one school, where you’ll build relationships, routines, and real classroom confidence.

It’s a brilliant opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who’s keen to make a difference—and maybe even explore teaching in the future.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

  • Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students engaged

  • Supporting pupils to stay on task and work independently

  • Feeding back to teachers and helping maintain smooth learning


You’ll need:

  • Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, tutoring, or youth work all count!)

  • A confident, approachable style and calm classroom presence

  • Strong communication skills and a flexible attitude

  • A genuine interest in education and pupil progress
