We’re looking for a Cover Supervisor for a welcoming and well-run secondary school in North Tyneside. This role is about keeping learning moving when teachers are away—no planning, no marking, just presence, purpose, and a positive vibe.
What the role involves:

Supervising classes across the curriculum using set lesson plans

Supporting students to stay focused and on task

Managing classroom behaviour with confidence and kindness

Feeding back to staff to keep everyone in the loop
You’ll need to:

Have experience working with secondary-age students (schools, tutoring, coaching, etc.)

Stay calm, clear, and consistent when things get lively

Be flexible and happy to jump between subjects and year groups

Bring energy and presence that helps students feel supported and safe
