Protocol Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and proactive Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of secondary schools across Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants, or those with experience working with young people in any setting.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-prepared lessons, maintaining order, and ensuring students stay on task.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Supervising classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

Delivering set work and ensuring pupils remain engaged in lessons

Managing classroom behaviour and following school policies

Supporting the wider school team when needed
We’re Looking For:

Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom setting

Strong communication and behaviour management skills

A calm, professional, and adaptable approach

Experience working with young people (youth work, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, etc.)

A genuine interest in education – ideal for those considering teacher training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
