We’re looking for a confident and adaptable cover supervisor to join a thriving secondary setting in Hexham. You’ll be the calm presence in the classroom when teachers are away – keeping lessons on track and students engaged.

This role is perfect for anyone with experience working with young people – whether in schools, youth work, coaching, or similar environments. No teaching qualification required, just confidence, common sense and a knack for building rapport.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising classes across a range of subjects

  • Delivering work that’s already set – no planning or marking needed

  • Keeping students focused and the classroom positive

  • Working closely with staff to make sure the day runs smoothly

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong communication and classroom presence

  • Flexibility and a sense of humour – every day is different!

  • Previous experience in a school or youth setting (desirable but not essential)
