Job Duties:

  • Supervising and managing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for students
  • Implementing pre-prepared lesson plans
  • Managing student behaviour and maintaining discipline
  • Assisting with the preparation of classroom materials
  • Providing feedback to teachers on student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Education:

Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Experience working with children or in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Basic knowledge of educational principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the school term calendar. The working hours are typically during school hours, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
