Position: Cover Supervisor
Start Date: September 2024
Location: Redbridge
Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The ideal candidate will be able to engage and manage students effectively to ensure a positive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the lesson.
- Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared Business and Economics lessons in a clear and effective manner.
- Student Support: Provide support and guidance to students during lessons, helping them understand the material and complete their work.
- Behaviour Management: Implement the school's behaviour policies, managing any classroom disruptions in a calm and professional manner.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of learning for students.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly in a supervisory or teaching role, is advantageous but not necessary.
- Skills: Strong skills behaviour management and keeping a classroom under control
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal: Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Requirements:
- The right to work in the UK.
- Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and teachers.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
