Step into the classroom, support learning, and keep things running smoothly

We’re looking for flexible and confident Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Gloucester. This role is perfect if you enjoy working with young people, want to make a difference in education, and prefer the freedom of flexible, part-time or ad hoc work.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step in when teachers are absent, making sure pre-prepared lesson plans are delivered and pupils remain engaged in their learning. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher, just someone with great communication skills, confidence in the classroom, and a calm, positive approach.

About you

You’ll bring:

  • Experience working with young people (in education, youth work, coaching, or similar)

  • Strong behaviour management and the ability to engage a class

  • Flexibility to work across a range of subjects and year groups

  • Confidence to deliver set lesson plans and keep pupils on track
