A progressive secondary school in Newham is looking to appoint a dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join their team from this September. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in a school that values enterprise, economic understanding, and real-world learning.
The ideal candidate will be confident delivering Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, with opportunities to contribute to wider curriculum initiatives such as financial literacy and entrepreneurship projects.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons that cover marketing, finance, enterprise, and business operations

Preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level Business qualifications

Encouraging strategic thinking, problem-solving, and commercial awareness through real-world case studies and project-based learning

Creating an inclusive classroom that fosters curiosity, confidence, and participation

Supporting enrichment activities such as Young Enterprise, business clubs, or external speaker events

Collaborating with colleagues across Humanities and Economics to enrich cross-curricular understanding
You Will Be a Great Fit If You:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification

Have experience teaching Business Studies in a UK secondary or sixth form setting

Are familiar with current exam board specifications and curriculum requirements

Have a passion for helping students develop key employability and business skills
-
Can deliver lessons that are accessible, relevant, and engaging to a diverse student body

Are proactive, organised, and committed to high standards in teaching and learning
