A friendly, inclusive primary school in Bradford is looking for a British Sign Language (BSL) Support Assistant to join their team this September. You’ll be working closely with deaf pupils to help them access learning, build confidence, and feel right at home in the classroom.
This isn’t just about signing—it’s about connection. You’ll be the person who helps pupils feel seen, heard, and understood.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for deaf or hearing-impaired pupils

Using BSL to support communication and learning across the school day

Helping pupils engage with peers, routines, and class activities

Supporting teachers in adapting lessons and resources for accessibility

Promoting deaf awareness and inclusion throughout the school community
You’ll need:

BSL qualification (Level 2 or above)

Experience supporting children, ideally in a school or SEN setting

A calm, positive approach and great communication skills
