Job Title: Behavioural Support Assistant
Location: Greenwich
Start Date: September 2025
Not every child finds school easy—but with you in their corner, they’ve got a real chance.
We’re looking for a confident, compassionate Behavioural Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school. This role is all about helping pupils manage their behaviour, build resilience, and stay on track—both in the classroom and beyond.
If you’ve worked with young people who challenge the norm and need structure, consistency and calm—you’ll know just how vital this role is.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, both 1:1 and in small groups
Helping them manage emotions, behaviour, and classroom routines
Acting as a key adult, building trusted relationships and steady routines
Working with pastoral leads, SENCOs, and external services
Keeping learning on track—even when the day takes a few detours
You’ll be a great fit if you:
✅ Have experience in a school, PRU, youth work or similar setting
✅ Stay calm, consistent, and compassionate—especially under pressure
✅ Can de-escalate situations with empathy and clear boundaries
✅ Believe in every pupil’s potential (even when they don’t yet)
Bonus if you're Thrive trained—but if not, we’ll cover it.
(Free, certified CPD through our academy.)
What you’ll get with Protocol Education:
Weekly pay via PAYE
Access to free CPD including Behaviour Management, SEMH and Thrive
