Pay: £89.38 – £118 per day (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural, social, and emotional needs in a primary school setting? We’re looking for a committed and patient Primary Behaviour Support Assistant to join a caring, inclusive school team in Leeds.
This role is vital in helping pupils develop positive behaviours, manage challenges, and thrive both academically and personally.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you’ll work alongside teaching and support staff to provide consistent behavioural support to pupils who require extra help managing emotions and behaviours. You’ll help create a safe, structured environment where every child can flourish.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 and small group behaviour interventions tailored to individual needs

Support pupils to develop self-regulation, social skills, and positive behaviour strategies

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and families to implement behaviour plans

Monitor and record behaviour incidents and progress

Promote a calm, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and growth
✅ What We’re Looking For:

Experience supporting children with behavioural, emotional, or social needs (SEMH or SEND experience desirable)

Understanding of positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques
-
Calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging behaviours
-
Good communication skills and a collaborative team mindset

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
