We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Behavioural Support Assistant to join a dynamic and high-performing Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Tower Hamlets. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • De-escalating challenging situations with calm, empathy and professionalism.
  • Helping to deliver tailored learning and using behaviour strategies that truly work.
  • Building trusting, respectful relationships with students who need consistency and care.
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN specialists and external agencies to give every pupil the best shot at success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
  • Someone who’s resilient, compassionate, and 100% unshockable
  • A positive, proactive attitude.
  • Based in or able to commute reliably to Tower Hamlets
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
